The Great Oshodi !!!!

This is Oshodi. One of the most popular and notorious points of the city of Lagos. Looking at the popular 911 Molue bus in Oshodi, makes me laugh, each time i have the opportunity of going through Oshodi, i bet you will laugh and laugh and laugh at every moment from area boys trying to extort money from motorists to commuters fighting themselves over balance to commuters fighting to enter the monster called Molue and mostly the Nigerian police doing their own thing i can,t help myself from laughing and laughing and laughing.. Nigeria is a very great place where anybody can seize opportunity of the lawlessness of the society to make money illegally.
Street traiders have suddenlly become a major treat to the already narrow road system. they put their products right on the main road and abuse every one that dare to stop them, in this regard police have totally lost control, they have compromised their integrity and all they recieve from the traders is insults upon insults each time they try to stop them.

The 'agbero' problem is the most devastating thing in Oshodi. They have a government of their own and have a word of their own. They sleep right there in the gutters and on kiosks and inside broken down vehicles.
They smoke marijuana called 'igbo' in lopcal language and drink all manner of liquor from the money they extorted from the hardworking motorist. they rape and assault passers by, they rob when there is no money, they constitute the biggest treat to the peace of this wonderful metropolitan city called Lagos.

What surprises me is the fact that they have remained a force to recon with, no government has been able to put a stop to them and their activities in and around Lagos. this has assumed a worrisome level.

The present governor of Lagos state is doing a lot in this direction i just hope he will be able to sustain this to the end.
